Welcome to the third session of the 2014-15 Middle Years Collaborative Inquiry (MYCI) in Math Project from the Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB). All session resources can be found below:
Session #3 Action Items
Here are a couple action items from MYCI Session #3:
- Revisit your previously identified urgent student learning need, inquiry question and theory of action,
- design your mid-way check-in assessment tool,
- submit your upcoming check-in data and post-survey data, where applicable.
Elementary & Non-Semestered Secondary Action Timeline:
Check-in Data
- June 16th, 2015 – Submit Final Check-in Data.
Student Attitudinal Survey Data
- June 16th, 2015 – POST-MYCI Student Survey due.
Semestered Secondary Action Timeline:
Check-in Data
In Semester 2, you will repeat the process for one (1) of your courses. Please focus on applied and/or locally developed courses where possible.
- March 2nd, 2015 – Submit Diagnostic Check-in Data.
- April 24th, 2014 – Submit Mid-way Check-in Data.
- June 16th, 2015 – Submit Final Check-in Data.
Student Attitudinal Survey Data
In Semester 2, you will repeat the process:
- March 2nd, 2015 – PRE-MYCI Student Survey due.
- June 16th, 2015 – POST-MYCI Student Survey due.

Here is a link to the monitoring tool data collection form for the diagnostic, mid-course check-in, and final course check-in. Remember, it is the same form for all data submissions!
