Current Teaching Assignment
Kyle Pearce currently splits his daily schedule between teaching at Tecumseh Vista Academy K-12 School in Tecumseh, Ontario and Intermediate Math Coaching with the Greater Essex County District School Board through the Middle Years Collaborative Inquiry (MYCI) Project.
Tap Into Teen Minds iPad Educational Technology Project
He currently leads an iPad Educational Technology pilot project funded by the Ontario Ministry of Education‘s Teacher Learning and Leadership Program (TLLP) called Tap Into Teen Minds. His 1:1 iPad Paperless Math Classroom has been a huge success in eliminating paper, reducing costs, and increasing student engagement & achievement in grade 9 mathematics. A project which began with one class set of 30 iPad 2 tablets has expanded with an additional 20 iPad Mini devices in his own school as well as a huge number of iPad purchases across his school board.
