Unit 4 – Proportional Reasoning: Ratios and Rates

Sec. 4.1 – Ratios & Rates

Khan Academy Practice writing ratios as a simplified fraction.  Keep in mind, we write “one-half” as “1/2″ on the computer.

Sec. 4.2 – More Ratios & Rates – Part 1

Khan Academy Practice solving word problems involving ratios.

Sec. 4.2 – More Ratios & Rates – Part 2

Khan Academy Practice solving more word problems involving ratios and rates.

Sec. 4.2 – More Ratios & Rates – Writing Proportions

Khan Academy Practice setting up proportions BEFORE using “magic circle,” “Y-thingy-thingy,” or logic to solve for the unknown.

Sec. 4.2 – More Ratios & Rates – Solving Proportions

Khan Academy Practice solving proportions using ”magic circle,” “Y-thingy-thingy,” or logic to solve for the unknown.

Unit 5 – Linear Relations

Sec. 5.3 – Rates of Change (Finding the Slope of a Line)

Khan Academy Practice finding the rate of change (also known as “Slope”) of a linear relation

Sec. 5.4 – More Rates of Change (Finding the Slope of a Line)

Khan Academy Practice finding the rate of change for real world scenarios

Sec. 5.10 – Graphing Linear Relations

Khan Academy Practice graphing linear relations given an equation.

Unit 7 – Algebraic Models – Making Connections

Sec. 7.3 – Polynomial Basics – Collect Like Terms – Practice 1

Khan Academy Practice collecting like terms with basic polynomials.  Good refresher!

Sec. 7.3 – Polynomial Basics – Collect Like Terms – Practice 2

Khan Academy Practice collecting like terms with more complex polynomials

Sec. 7.4 – Distributive Property – Practice 1

Khan Academy Practice simplifying expressions using distribution

Sec. 7.4 – Distributive Property – Practice 2

Khan Academy Practice simplifying by adding and subtracting polynomials

Unit 8 – Plane Geometry

Angles in Triangles – Angle Types

Khan Academy Practice your skills at identifying acute, obtuse, and right angles

Angles in Triangles – Triangle Types

Khan Academy Practice identifying whether triangles are equilateral, isosceles, or scalene

Angles in Triangles – Find Angles

Khan Academy Practice determining the missing angle in each triangle

Angles in Triangles – Complementary & Supplementary

Khan Academy Practice using your knowledge of complementary and supplementary angles

Angle Relationships – F, Z, C Patterns

Khan Academy Practice using your knowledge of F, Z, & C Patterns

Angle Relationships – Solve for Unknown

Khan Academy Practice connecting algebra to geometry.  Use geometric relationships to solve for an unknown variable.

Angle Relationships – More Difficult 1

Khan Academy Practice more difficult problems which require a firm understanding of different geometric relationships

Angle Relationships – More Difficult 2

Tougher still…

Angle Relationships – Polygons

Khan Academy Practice sum of interior angles of a polygon.  Recall that a triangle has 180 degrees, quadrilateral has 360 degrees, and for each side you add after that, add 180 degrees.  In other words, split your shape into triangles and multiply the number of triangles by 180 degrees.
